Joel “Positive” Murray from Trinidad & Tobago emerged the top winner at this year’s Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards held on recently at the Myles E. Munroe Diplomat Centre in Nassau, Bahamas. Positive became the first ever artist in Marlin Awards history to win eight (8) individual awards in one night.
The prestigious Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards, considered one of the longest running Caribbean Gospel events in the region celebrated its 20th Anniversary during Marlin Awards Weekend in February 2017. The awards were launched on March 16th 1996 by media executive and radio personality Kevin “Minister K” Harris and now distributes awards in over forty (40) categories.
It debuts at No. 28 on this week’s Billboard Gospel Airplay chart and at No. 29 on the Mediabase Gospel Airplay chart. It anchors Gardner’s forthcoming live album “Greater” (Flow Masters /Tyscot), which is scheduled to release globally on April 21st.
